God cares for us!
7 Cast all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.
(1 Peter 5:7)
19 When the cares of my heart are many, your consolations cheer my soul.
(Psalm 94:19)
When things are going well we sometimes forget to thank God for His goodness and kindness and generosity. He never leaves us in good or bad times.
My son calls me often from America to pray.
My son is studying in the USA. It is his first year of Master Degree. From January he had sent out hundreds of application letters for the summer internship placement with US companies. He had job interviews. But then came the rejection letters. He had to cope with disappointment and then had to boost himself to prepare for the next interview and so it went on and on. Rejection letter came one after the other till the last month of his academic year – May, and he still had no summer job!
We prayed and we cried out to God on our regular chats.
I knew God had the right job for him, we just had to wait and trust in Him, so we did.
After all the months of trying and rejection letters, finally end of May he had a company calling him regarding a summer job, and then the second interview which went very well.
Every time he called, we prayed for the right doors to open.
I reminded him how God got him into this university, and gave him this scholarship. He would surely do the same again now.
We held on to that promise.
Right enough, he was selected and accepted the offer a few days later. He got his work visa just in a few days which was a miracle -indeed! All worked out so perfect that he could start right on time for the 12 week summer program.
He is booked to come home in September to celebrate his birthday and the goodness of God.
When he called me with the news, we remembered to Thank God for His provision, goodness, and faithfulness in our lives.
I am so thankful that my son got the summer job exactly in a company where he could use his skills and assets, also he always wanted to work in Silicon Valley of San Francisco.
The long months of waiting taught him to be patient, to trust and to depend on God.
I thank the Lord for His goodness and faithfulness in our lives each day because He cares for us.
Amen.
22 Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved.
