The best way to get to know people, go deeper with God and engage with church life is to join a connect group.
We run various connect groups across the church, these are small groups that meet together on a regular basis each month, alternating between socials, pastoral care, bible studies and worship.
Meeting in small groups provides a better environment for forming close relationships, sharing and receiving prayer, and discussing and studying the word. It is also a great place to invite friends to experience church in a different way.
These groups are a key part of The Gate, where individuals and the church as a whole can experience growth, both spiritually and numerically.
Delta
Mondays 7pm Mandy Mills & Glenda Povey Delta group meets on Monday at 7pm a peoples homes. Mostly we do Bible Study and Prayer and have a monthly social.
Pleroma
Mondays 8pm The Pleroma group meets weekly for prayer, praise and teaching and holds socials throughout the year.
Whiteknights
Mondays 8 PM Gareth & Rachel Owen Bible study group for students, meal included.
Refreshing the Devoted
Two Thursdays a Month 7:15 – 9:15 PM (Term Time) Thomas Yeung & Katherine Ching We meet on Thursday evenings at 7:15 – 9:15 PM at The Gate Sindlesham.
Family Focus
Two Sundays a Month 1:00 – 2:30 PM (Term Time) Lesley Carter Family Focus is a connect group aiming to build stronger connections and relationships with families at the Gate mainly through fun and social activities. Family and friends are welcome. This happens two Sundays a month 1 -2.30pm term time. We usually meet at The Gate Tilehurst, but sometimes we meet off-site at a park or in someone’s home.
Koinonia
Thursdays 8 PM Jenny Whitfield & Jill Wells Koinonia meets on Thursday evenings (except in school holidays) at 8 PM and gather at the homes of various members. Occasionally we share Sunday lunch together. Generally, the format is Worship, Study, and Prayer.
Agape
Fridays 7:00 – 8:30 PM Herbert Leung, Michelle Cheng, Rex Liu & Yvonne Chan Agape meets on Fridays at The Gate Sindlesham from 7:00 PM for worship and group activities.
Logos
Alternate Saturdays 6:00 – 9:00 PM Curtis & Cathy Chan We meet at members’ homes in Twyford, Woodley, or Wokingham.
