Our Businesses
Acorns Nursery School
Established for over 30 years in Tilehurst, Love Your Community took on Acorns in September 2015. Rated as good by Ofsted, Acorns is a family oriented and nurturing environment for children ages 2-5. Comments in the recent Ofsted inspection included:
'Children are warmly welcomed by friendly and attentive staff, who provide a safe and nurturing environment. Staff are very positive role models and constantly show concern for children's well-being. This helps children feel a sense of belonging.'

Conkers Preschool
Conkers Preschool is a small independent preschool offering early years education for children between 2 and 5. We operate in a large room, and the garden at The Gate Sindlesham. Our sessions run between 9 AM and 3 PM during school terms. We accept government funding and are Ofsted registered. In its first inspection in 2025 the Inspector said:
'The pre-school ethos is learning through play. Managers and staff use this approach to build good foundations for children's ongoing learning. They provide a wide range of activities and experiences to cover all areas of learning.'
The children enjoy learning through engaging with carefully set up play activities. As we are limited to 16 children per session and so are able to create a friendly, happy atmosphere. Children are encouraged to develop social and self-help skills to enable them to transition to school confidently.
