Rachel has a deep passion for family life and believes the Church is called to be a place where people of all ages are welcomed, known, and nurtured as family. As a mum of two, this value is lived out daily and shapes her heart for seeing individuals and families flourish, grounded in faith, relationship, and a strong sense of belonging.
Alongside her work in education, Rachel is deeply committed to the next generation. She has a particular focus on children and young people, creating safe, joyful, and faith-filled environments where they can grow in confidence, discover God’s love, and understand their identity and purpose in Christ. She values partnering with parents and carers, recognising them as the primary faith influencers in their children’s lives.
Alongside her husband Gareth, Rachel helps oversee a small network of churches across England and Wales as part of the Barnabas Fellowship of Churches (BFOC). Together they bring a pioneering and strategic approach to leadership, investing in people, developing healthy teams, and building sustainable church communities.
Outside of ministry, Rachel loves being by the water, finding space there to rest, reflect, and be refreshed.
